Sixteen verified board and C-suite changes across NZX-listed companies in May. Synlait Milk runs the month: Chief Executive Richard Wyeth resigns with Leon Fung stepping in as Acting CEO, Independent Director Paul McGilvary departs, and Katherine Turner joins the board. NZX itself names Amy Trotman Acting Chief Financial Officer and loses director Peter Jessup to ASX. Tourism Holdings replaces long-serving director Gráinne Troute with former ASB chief Barbara Chapman. AFT Pharmaceuticals lands Stuart Houliston as CFO. Appointed Acting CEO of Synlait, effective Thursday 14 May 2026, after the Board accepted Richard Wyeth's resignation. Fung is ordinarily resident in New Zealand. His career spans nearly 30 years across production, operations, CAPEX investments and market development, including as CEO of NIG Nutritionals Limited and Operations Director for Danone Oceania. He joined Synlait as a Director in June 2024 and chaired its People, Environment and Governance Committee from November 2025. Source ↗

Appointed a Director of Tourism Holdings, effective immediately, filling the vacancy created by Gráinne Troute's departure. Chapman was Chief Executive and Managing Director of ASB Bank from 2011 to 2018. Her current governance roles include Chair of Genesis Energy, Director of the Bank of New Zealand and Deputy Chair of the New Zealand Initiative. She was awarded a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to business in 2019. The Board determined she is independent for the purposes of the NZX Listing Rules. Source ↗

Appointed Chief Financial Officer of AFT Pharmaceuticals, commencing 15 June 2026. Houliston joins from Sanford, New Zealand's largest integrated fishing and aquaculture company, and was previously an audit Director at KPMG. He is a chartered accountant with a Master of Science from Oxford University. He succeeds Malcolm Tubby, who retires from the role on 29 May 2026, with Simon Bosley covering in the interim. Appointed an Independent Director of Synlait. Turner has more than 25 years' experience in executive and governance roles across the manufacturing, FMCG, agritech and primary sectors, with leadership positions at Fonterra, Sanford, Danone and TOMRA Food. Chair George Adams called her financial acumen and knowledge of the global dairy sector an exceptional fit for the role. She chairs Synlait's Audit and Risk Committee. Source ↗

Appointed a Non-Executive Director of EROAD, effective 1 June 2026. Brosnahan has more than 25 years of international experience in financial services and technology, including as Chief Transformation Officer at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank. He has served as EROAD's Chief Transformation Officer on a part-time basis since October 2025, a role concluding before his directorship begins. Under NZX Listing Rule 2.6 the Board determined he does not currently qualify as independent given his recent executive engagement. He will stand for election at EROAD's Annual Shareholders' Meeting. The Synlait Board accepted Richard Wyeth's resignation as Chief Executive Officer. The Board credited him with leading Synlait through a challenging period focused on operational, quality and financial issues, rebuilding customer relationships and positioning the company for its next phase. Wyeth remains with the company until 30 June 2026 to support an orderly transition. Leon Fung steps in as Acting CEO from 14 May. Source ↗

Resigned as an Independent Director of Synlait, effective Monday 18 May 2026. McGilvary served as a Director since 2022, holding roles including Chair of the People, Environment and Governance Committee, Acting Chair of the Board and Chair of the Dairyworks advisory Board. Under Synlait's Constitution and the NZX Listing Rules the company must have two Independent Directors, and its Nominations Sub-Committee began a search for a replacement earlier this year. Source ↗
